Due to expansion of their workload the data team is now looking to hire a new data privacy specialist to help develop their data protection and security.
As a data privacy specialist you are member of a team that works internationally with other head offices and branches throughout Europe. The spoken language in the team is mainly English since there are some team member that are non-Dutch natives, there are Dutch colleagues as well in case you are Dutch yourself or if you are new to the country and want to learn the language.
Your focus in this job is to make sure all corporate privacy compliance goals are met. In your team you will be responsible several activities such as the development, improvement, planning and execution of the compliance strategy, controls assessment and documentation. Implementing different privacy processes and procedures will be part of your daily activities, as well as supporting the data protection officer by providing day to day privacy guiding to the business.
As a specialist in your field you are a key player in different privacy sensitive matters such as the constant monitoring and assessing risks for corporate applications, the development of training programs, data, processes and policies. In your job you will have contact with many different stakeholders in and outside of the company as you may now understand, being able communicate properly on different levels (written and verbally) is needed to succeed in the job.
- A minimum of three years experience in the field of data security / privacy
- Academic or bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT
- Experience with implementing Governance, Risk and Compliance solutions
- An analytic spirit and always striving for perfection
- Preferably you have worked with GDPR sensitive data before (CIPP/E and CIPM certified by preference)
- Strong communication skills
- You speak English, preferably Dutch as well
